Sirens’ Song is a Cape Dory 330. She was built in Massachusetts in 1983 for Brook Sawyer who owned her in California until Alan and I came along in 2009.
She is 33′ (feet) long and has a draft (depth) of 4’10” with a long keel, she has a beam of 10’3″. The mast is 48’9″. Her displacement is 13,330 lbs and she carries 561 sp. ft. of sail on a cutter rig.
I have added 2 X 80W solar panels to 3 X 120Ah batteries and a 30W panel to the Start Battery. I have a wind generator and Monitor Windvane as well as an EV1 Autopilot. I have 50m of 10mm chain on a 20kg Rocna with 60m of warp.
The engine is the original 23hp Universal (Kubota DH1101 block).
I have a fridge and hot water from an engine heated calorifier as well as an Eberspacher diesel heater for those long winter nights.
